Welcome to my blog “Getting Back Into Shape”!

Today I’d like to start by introducing myself and telling you why I started this blog.

My name is Michael and I am now 60 years old. Like many of you, I’m in the middle of my life. The kids are out of the house. Work has settled down and I finally have more time to myself.

I want to use this time to get fit and healthy again. Unfortunately, I’ve put on a few pounds over the past few years and my mobility is not what it used to be. But I am determined to do something about it!

Why this blog?

I want to share my experiences and insights with you and motivate you to strive for a healthier and fitter lifestyle too. It’s never too late to improve your health!

What you can expect here:

In this blog you’ll find everything you need to know about fitness, nutrition and motivation. I will introduce you to simple fitness exercises you can do at home and outdoors, give you tips on how to get to the gym, and show you healthy recipes for cooking.

I also want to share my own experiences and adventures – both the highs and the lows. Because setbacks are part of the process when you want to change something. The important thing is to get back up and keep going!
